Cold Rock Encourages Australians to do an “ARK”.

Acts of Random Kindness initiative launches nationally at Cold Rock.

Cold Rock, the largest wholly Australian owned ice creamery, is determined to show
that a small and random act of kindness can help to change our world for the better,
through the launch of “ARK” or “Acts of Random Kindness” initiative.

The campaign is simple to participate in: just head into your local Cold Rock store,
buy an ice cream and receive your free ARK charity box. Then, fill the ARK with
loose change and pass it on to someone less fortunate – whether that be a friend,
family member, neighbour or even a stranger.

The campaign is not linked to one specific group, cause or individual and allows
Aussies seeking to make the world a better place, the opportunity to choose
recipients themselves.

In addition to the nationwide launch of ARK, Stan Gordon, Cold Rock’s Managing
Director, is pledging to donate a portion of Cold Rock’s ice cream sales from
around the country to causes and charities which Cold Rock customers nominate
via ChangeOurWorldForGood.com.au

“One of the greatest things we can do as humans is to be kind, show selflessness
and care. The idea isn’t to solve one social issue, but to foster a culture of kindness and
giving, because if we can do that, we’ll be able to change the world for good,” said Stan.

“The premise of the initiative is simple and easy enough that everyone, from
children and families, to large organisations, can be involved. An ARK can be
given to anyone; from a person sleeping rough who needs a meal, a kid at school
who may not have lunch, or an organisation that is doing good work.”

The campaign has been successfully running in South Africa and the UK on
the premise that we all have the power to change our world for good with simple
Acts of Random Kindness and Cold Rock is proud to be the officia l partner,
